I bought this case for my husband. He had the same case which was almost a year old but had started to wear a bit around the edges after extensive use (although the case remained intact - actually no one would even notice the slight wear). He like it so much I decided to buy the exact same case. The quality of the leather inside and out is nice with a slight sheen on the exterior. There is also a small pocket inside the case. The flap has a magnetic closure and with the openings at the bottom it is easy to remove the phone from the case. Because the closure flap is magnetic there is nothing abrasive on the inside of the case so the phone is well protected. My husband has a 3gs iphone and it fit easily into the case even with his Switcheasy Capsule RebelM case on the phone. The belt clip is sufficiently strong and held up well. I saw another review where the reviewer indicated the belt clip had pulled away from the body of the case but that has not been my husband's experience.
In my experience it can be difficult to buy a case online if you use a case on the phone as well. This case easily accommodated the Switcheasy case and also works well without a case on the phone. It is a great case for the iphone 3gs and, in my opinion, worth more than the price. This particular case will fit other phones as well including the iphone 4.
Works with iPhone 4

I bought this case because with the iPhone "bumper" the phone would not fit into a similar case I had used with my iPhone 3G. When you first get the case it's side straps are stiff and the phone does not slip into or out of the case easily. After several days the leather straps are more pliable and the phone is much easier to retrieve or stow. Good value and I recommend it.

Great case but keep superglue handy

Great case with one caveat.
Pros:
+ Strong clip keeps it tight on the belt.
+ Magnet in flap is fairly strong; satisfying "thwap" as it closes and keeps your phone secure.
+ Case large enough for holding a iphone in a protective case.
+ Doesn't look too cheap.
Con:
- The leather holding the strong clip to the case is too thin - it started to tear 3 months after I started using the case (the clip is very strong, remember?). Luckily I caught it when it was about 35% torn and put a heavy dose of superglue on the cardboard backing next to the clip, then rubberbanded it closed for an hour. No more tearing problems.
FAIL for iphone4

I was excited to get this because it says it fits the iPhone4. Well... it does if you have no case or bumper on.. so technically yes that is true. BUT... fitting and working are two different things. When I get a call... trying to get it our of the case is a challenge... but when it finally slides up... the top button gets pushed EVERY time, sending the call to voicemail. AHHHHHH! I got it for a quick draw... not a slow release then hang up the call draw! I say pass on this... for iPhone 4 users.
